Honda teases images of India Bound WR-V Crossover
According to recent reports coming from Japan, Japanese car maker Honda Motors has revealed the sketches of its upcoming crossover WR-V in cyber world ahead of its launch during Sao Paulo Motor Show. Since the time of its perception it was said that the proposed crossover will be developed on same platform on which its hatchback Jazz is developed and now going through the images revealed by car it is witnessed that the endorsement made by car maker regarding WR-V were completely true. From the available images it is seen that the vehicle carries lots of features and visuals which are strictly according to the design philosophy used for developing a crossover, although you will also notice replica of conventional design philosophy applied by car maker for developing its vehicles.

Under the hood it is reported that continuing the same engine as offered in Jazz hatchback WR-V crossover from Honda will also be equipped with 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder diesel engine in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant churns power of 88 bhp and torque of 109 Nm, while the later boosts power of 98 bhp and torque of 200Nm. The transmission duties will be handled by five speed manual gearbox and CVT unit in petrol variant, whereas diesel variant will be offered with six speed manual gearbox transmission system.

Continuing the hereditary features of Jazz sibling, the exterior and interior segment of WR-V crossover are reported to carry almost same appearances. On exterior the front fascia will receive wide wraparound headlamps along with black garnished grille followed by huge chrome work. Being a crossover the front bumper receives rugged looks. The side profile will carry the signature lines similar to Jazz followed by black plastic claddings over the wheel arches for aggressive look. Interestingly the rear profile will of this Jazz based crossover will be totally different. Inside cabin it continues the philosophy of Jazz which is inspired from City sedan. While traveling in crossover you will find sufficient boot space for front and rear passengers. Other features offered on board are steering mounted audio controls, rear parking camera, touchscreen multimedia system, automatic climate control and lots of additional spaces for storing various stuffs carried by passengers. On the safety front it will be equipped with dual airbags, and ABS+EBD.
In simple words the soul of Honda WR-V can be considered as a mature version of Jazz hatchback.
