As per the latest information, the Japanese car maker Honda will be parting away from its ally in India – Usha International. There were reports that the car maker has bought the entire share from Shriram Group which is the parent of Usha International and now the car maker will be operating on its own in the country. Now that it is soon to be independent, there will be a lot of buzz and new Honda cars entry in India seems to be easier now. Also now that Honda will be on its own, the car maker will be able to take its own decisions. However, some latest reports have given a negative sentiment and it seems that Honda lacks too much enthusiastic approach regarding India. As per the report, Honda might delay the Honda Civic launch and pull out Honda Accord altogether.

Despite of the petrol-car-hate phase that had set in due to the rise in petrol prices, Honda cars seemed to have sold well and as per reports the company sold 29,932 units from April to August this year which is more than the 19,433 units it had sold in the same period last year. This seems to be due to the launch of Honda Brio small car that is getting good response from car buyers in the country.
