Honda to launch BR-V SUV on May 5, 2016

Japanese car maker Honda Motors is all set to launch its first ever SUV BR-V in Indian car market on May 5, 2016. It is speculated to be launched with competitive price tag which will be disclosed at the time of its launch. Under the hood it will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants comprising of 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder engine boosting the power of 118 bhp and 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder engine churning the power of 99 bhp respectively. As far as gear transmission system it is expected to be offered with six speed manual gear transmission system and also with CVT automatic transmission system.

As reported earlier the pictures of Honda BR-V were leaked couple of weeks back. From the images it is noticed that car maker has not left any stone unturned while designing their entry level SUV in market and have embellished it with army of distinguishing features. The SUV embellishes features like projector headlights, LED DRLs, roof rails, newly developed stylish alloy rims on exteriors. Inside the cabin it bestows features like 6.1 touchscreen infotainment system supporting connectivity with Bluetooth and HDMI, digitally controlled air conditioners system along with separate air vents for rear passengers. With this integration of steering mounted audio and phone controlling feature facilitates driver to perform these activities hassle free. On the safety front it receives front airbags for front seaters, ABS+EBD, hill start assist system, reverse parking camera, vehicle stability assist. It also bestows reclining second row seats and splitting third row seats in ratio of 50:50.

There will be overall four trims namely E,S,V and VX. in which this SUV will be offered. After launch it will complete against Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Duster from Renault and Hyundai Creta. Sources of Honda have claimed that will be the fuel efficient SUV which will deliver an average of 21.9 kmpl delivered by petrol variant and 15.4 kmp delivered by diesel variant.
