Honda to showcase Mobilio during Indian Auto Expo 2014
With only couple of months in organization of Indian Auto Expo, companies have started making strategies about their participation. It is reported Honda Mobilio which the highly anticipated MPV from Japanese car maker Honda Motors, which was unveiled during Indonesia International Motor Show will be showcased during forthcoming Indian Auto Expo during February 2014. Mobilio is the third vehicle from Japanese car maker which is based on concept of Brio and architecture based on Honda Amaze.
Reports also reveal that Honda Mobilio will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants and will be offered in three models namely S, E, and E CVT. It is also revealed that the petrol variant will be enriched with 1.5 litre petrol engine which at present exists in Honda Civi, whereas the diesel variant will be empowered with 1.5 litre i-DTECT engine which is carried from Honda Amaze. The petrol variant will be available with five speed manual and five speed automatic gearbox, where diesel engine will be mated with five speed manual gearbox.
As far as price of Mobilio MPV is concerned nothing has been so far revealed by company but according to speculations with an objective of strengthening its position in Indian car market company may launch it with price tag varying from Rs.5.7 lakh to Rs. 8.5 lakh. Honda Mobilio is expected to be tough contender to Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki, Quanto from Mahindra, Enjoy from Chevrolet and Evalia from Nissan.
