Honourable Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari To Use Green Hydrogen Car

Honourable Union Minister of Transport Nitin Gadkari has said that after his return to New Delhi, he will use a car that uses green Hydrogen. Addressing the inauguration of various projects in Goa, the Minister of Transport said, "Toyota Company from Japan has given me a vehicle which runs on green Hydrogen. I will use it myself as a pilot project (on alternative fuel)".

Addressing the event he said that, "For the next 15 days, I will not be in Delhi as I will be touring Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Once I am back in Delhi, I will start using it”.  He also added that future vehicles will run on green hydrogen. According to him the Indian Oil from Faridabad has taken the responsibility of supplying the green hydrogen for his car. Speaking about the inaugural of various infrastructural projects, Hon. Gadkari said that the government of India has sanctioned the budget of Rs 804.24 crore to accomplish 13 works as recommended by the Chief Minister of Goa in the Annual Plan for 2022-23.
 
He also added that the central government will invest Rs 400 crore for the development of a national highway in Goa, along with an additional amount of Rs 305 crore for the development of the same highway. In the words of the Minister, the ministry of transport has also sanctioned the funds of Rs 181 crore to accomplish the remaining task on the Margao Western Bypass in Goa.
 
The  Chief Minister of  Goa, Pramod Sawant, Goa MP and Union Minister Shripad Naik and the other leaders of BJP were present at the event.
