How Much Different Would Be Hyundai Venue From Hyundai Creta?
Recently the Korean carmaker Hyundai Motors showcased its new compact SUV Venue in the Indian car market, and will officially the same on May 21, 2019. Although the Venue would be launched to compete against the likes of Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, but its strong contender would be Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The Venue is developed on the same platform that has been used for developing the Creta and therefore carries lots of its look similar to its elder sibling. But, despite of this there are some major changes which differentiate both the vehicles from each other.

If you are also planning to buy the Venue as your preferred vehicle, but confused about its similarity with the Creta, then below are some of the major differences between both these vehicles.
Engine: It would be interesting to know that both the vehicles are offered with the three engine options, but the basic difference lies in their configurations. Where the Venue is empowered with the options of two petrol engines – 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine boosting the power of 120 bhp, and 1.2 litre petrol engine that generates the power of 83 bhp, followed by 1.4 litre diesel engine that churns the power of 90 bhp. On the other side Creta is offered with the option of two diesel engines and 1 petrol engine.
Dimensions: As the Venue is launched below the Creta, undoubtedly it carries smaller dimensions, but still it is important to know that how short does it look from the Creta. The width of both the vehicles is almost the same, but still Creta is 10mm wide than its younger sibling. The Creta has the wheelbase of 2590mm where as the Venue has the wheelbase of 2500 mm, that is the difference of 90mm. Moving towards the bootspace, the Creta has the boot capacity of 405 litres and Venue has the bootspace capacity of 350 litres (although, it is yet to be revealed). The overall dimensions of Venue includes the length of 3995mm, Width of 1770mm and height of 1590mm.

The Venue is offered with an option of seven speed DCT automatic transmission system, but it is however offered only with the trim that is empowered with 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine followed by six speed manual gear transmission system. The remaining 1.2 litre petrol and 1.4 litre diesel engine options are offered with five speed manual and six-speed manual gear transmission system respectively. On the other side Creta is offered with an option of same automatic transmission system in both the petrol and diesel variants.
Inside the cabin: Inside the cabin, Venue carries the overall black treatment which is further enhanced with white pillars. Other features like steering wheel, switches and knobs, central console design and others are mild different the Creta. The additional features that are offered in the Venue consists of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless smartphone charging system, electronic sunroof, cruise control, six airbags and many more. All these features are offered for the first time in the segment.

Connectivity: Surprisingly, it is the point where Venue is miles ahead from its sibling Creta. The Venue is offered with eight inch infotainment system supported with Hyundai’s BlueLink software. Along with this it also embellished with e-SIM and supports connectivity with 33 additional features, most of which are developed strictly according to the conditions existing in the Indian car market. The BlueLink feature will facilitate the drivers to track the vehicle, switch on and off the engine, air conditioner, and many more.
Fuel Efficiency: The mileage of the Venue are yet to be revealed by the carmaker, but on the basis of the information it is believed that 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine and 1.2 litre petorl engine will deliver an average of 18 kmpl, while the 1.4 litre diesel engine will deliver an average between 23 kmpl to 24 kmpl. The fuel efficiency delivered by the Venue is much better than offered by the Creta.
Price: The price of Creta starts from Rs. 9.6 lakh and goes high to Rs. 15.65 lakh (ex-showroom price). The prices of Venue are yet to be revealed at the time of its launch. But, still it is speculated to be offered with the starting price of Rs. 7.8 lakh and go high up-to Rs. 12 lakh.
Conclusion: On the basis of the above description it can be said that both the vehicles have their respective pros and cons. If you are willing to buy an automatic SUV with diesel engine configuration than Creta is the best option, but if you are switching from a hatchback to SUV and with strict budget then undoubtedly Venue is made for you.
