Hyundai Aura: What To Expect?
Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) the Indian alliance of Korean carmaker is getting ready to launch its new compact sedan Aura soon in the Indian car market. The upcoming compact sedan is endorsed as an advanced version of compact sedan Xcent and carries most of its cues from Grand i10 Nios launched back in 2019. The launch of Aura is not less than a challenge for the Korean carmaker, because in recent years there has been a dynamic shift towards the SUV segment and therefore launching the first vehicle of this decade the carmaker is playing a gamble. However, the Aura has an appealing factor to impress the buyers who are planning to shift from hatchback to sedan.

Mechanically, it will be offered with two engine options in the petrol variant and one in diesel variant. All three engines are reported to be BS-VI compliant. To begin with, the petrol engine options will include a 1.2-liter petrol engine boosting the power of 82 bhp and a torque of 114Nm. It will be mated with a five-speed manual gear transmission system followed by an AMT transmission system. The second engine option will consist of a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine boosting the power of 99 bhp and a torque of 172Nm. The transmission system will include the five-speed manual gearbox. The diesel variant will be empowered with a 1.2-liter engine that will be capable of boosting the power of 74 bhp and the torque of 190Nm. The transmission duties will include a five-speed manual along with the option of an AMT transmission system.
Speaking about the design, the Aura measures 3,995 mm long, 1,680mm wide and 1,520mm tall. With a wheelbase of 2450mm, it also has a boot space of 402 liters. The front fascia looks almost similar to Grand i10 Nios. The front grille receives cleanly studded dual boomerang LED DRLs, coupe roofline followed by sportier wheel arches. The rear portion receives the newly styled boot lid, wrap-around tail lamps with a 3D outer lens. As far as the price of Aura is concerned it would not be wrong to say that the company has an A-game plan for determining its price. It is believed to be priced in the range of Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 9 lakh.
