Hyundai CRETA likely to launch on July 21, 2015

According to recent industry reports HMIL, Indian alliance of Korean car market Hyundai Motors is going to launch its SUV CRETA aka iX25 in Indian car market on July 21, 2015. It would be the first SUV by car maker and will compete against existing SUV’s like Renault Duster and others including S-Cross from country’s leading car maker MSIL which is also speculated to launch sometimes during the month of July this year.
 
In the beginning CRETA SUV would be offered only in diesel variant that would be empowered with 1.6 litre diesel engine boosting the power of 126 bhp and torque of 26.5 Nm. This engine would be mated with six speed manual gearbox and also offered with automatic gearbox. It is anticipated that in future company will also offer 1.6 litre petrol engine that will generate the power of 121 bhp.
 
According to sources of company the launch of CRETA would establish company’s position in SUV segment, which has flourished to huge extent in recent times. Earlier it was expected that CRETA would be launched in the month of August 2015,but going through the rumors regarding launch of S-Cross by MSIL Korean car maker decided to come up with CRETA in the same month. It is reported that the exteriors of CRETA have been developed with contemporary features including black cladding across the body along with silver plates, chrome garnished hexagonal grille, angular headlamps with LED lights.
