Hyundai enters in compact SUV segment with ix25
During last couple of year compact SUV segment has witnessed huge growth across the world and it is one of the segments where the Korean car maker Hyundai Motors has not made its entrance despite of giving super performing cars to global car market. Now breaking all the barriers Korean car maker has made its debut in this segment also in form of ix25 which has made its first appearance during the ongoing Chengdu Auto Show and will be soon dispatched to dealers in Chinese car market from October 2014.
The Hyundai ix25 is empowered with 1.6 litre petrol engine boosting the power of 125 PS followed by 2.0 litre engine churning the power of 160 PS. The exteriors of this compact SUV receives dynamic and aggressive body language in form of swept back headlights, three slats grille at front fascia, LED daytime running lights followed by wrap around tail lights and brake lights. Inside the cabin the compact SUV receives four spoke steering wheel with silver accents, large infotainment system, an instrument cluster with speedometer and tachometer mounted on it followed by electronic climate controls.
The compact SUV is expected to make its debut in Indian car market sometimes during next year and would be offered in both petrol and diesel variants enriched with 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre engines respectively carried from Verna
