Hyundai Honored as 'Top Exporter of the year' Award for 2012-13 by EEPC India

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), India’s largest auto exporter and the second largest passenger car manufacturer received the Gold Trophy at the 45th EEPC INDIA National Awards for Export Excellence for being the Top Exporter in the year 2012-13 in the Large enterprise category. Dr. James S. Mutende, Minister of State for Industry and Technology, Uganda presented the award to senior HMIL officials in an award ceremony held in Mumbai.
 
Hyundai has milestone achievements in the export market by offering its modern premium products to over 120 countries in the European and non-European markets. The company has retained its position of being the largest passenger car exporter since 2004, with a market leadership of 45%. During the year 2012-13, Hyundai exported 259,811 cars to diverse markets with a growth of 9.4% in the year.
 
On receiving the award, Mr B S Seo, MD & CEO HMIL expressed, “We are delighted and honored to receive this prestigious award from EEPC India for the year 2012-13. The award signifies the success of Hyundai brand showcasing our commitment to provide modern premium cars with world-class technology. HMIL currently exports 40% of its total production to countries across EU, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific. HMIL's fully integrated state-of-the-art manufacturing plant near Chennai boasts of advanced production, quality and testing capabilities ensuring excellence in products.
