Hyundai’s upcoming big ix25 compact crossover which was expected to be launching in mid of 2015, will be launching now in November, 2015 according to the reports. The ix crossover is expected to be offered in both petrol and diesel disguises which would be empowered with 1.6 litre engines. The crossover is already on sale in International market where it is offered with two engine options of 1.6 litre and 2.0 litre in petrol version and both engines mated with six speed manual and automatic transmission system. The Indian specific version is speculated to blessed with some premium features namely air conditioner vents and climate control, central console with integrated audio controls and many more.
It is speculated that the compact crossover will be manufactured with the 90 percent of local substance in HMIL’s Chennai plant. It is also expected that the Hyundai ix25 will not be manufactured as a sub-4 metre product but as the Hyundai invested Rs. 1,000 crores on the project, there are slight chances that the Hyundai will surprise the market to give a sub-4 metre product with the very lower pricing. The South Korean car maker will be deciding the price of the car if the 4.27 metres length is kept. The pricing could be same as Ford EcoSport or a bit above.
After launch Hyundai ix25 will be competing with the Mahindra XUV500 facelift, Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport, Maruti S-Cross and Nissan Terrano. It will be a premium product, above the American and the French Rivals.
