Hyundai Kona Ready For Launch In 16 Indian Cities On Same Date
Hyundai Motors India Limited, the Indian alliance of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is all set of launch its first electric vehicle Kona in the Indian car market on July 9, 2019. In the beginning the Kona will be launched in 16 major cities of India including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. The dealers of Kona are reported to offer free chargers to the buyers of Kona. These chargers offer fast charging up to 80% in the span of an hour.

Mechanically the Kona would be empowered with 39kWh battery back boosting the power of 136PS and the torque of 395Nm. Once charged fully the Kona could be driven up to 300 kms. It is capable of touching the mark up to 100 kmph within the duration of 9.7 seconds and takes 10 hours to charge fully. Along with the battery pack of 39kWh the company also offers the option of powerful power pack of 64kWh that boosts the power of 204 PS and the torque of 395Nm. To facilitate the buyers with the facility of charging their SUV at home the company also provides the regular AC/wall box charging station which can be installed at home.
Talking about the features offered in the Kona it would be interesting to know that it would be embellished but some remarkable features like eight inch touchscreen system supporting connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, live services, ventilated seats, eight speakers KRELL audio system with a subwoofer, BlueLink connected features and many more. In India it would be brought through CKD route and is believed to offered with the starting price tag of Rs. 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
