Hyundai Launches Alcazar SUV With Starting Price Of Rs 16.30 Lakh
Hyundai Motors India Limited has launched the highly awaited SUV Alcazar in the Indian car market with the starting price of Rs 16.30 lakh for the petrol version, and Rs 16.53 lakh for the diesel variant. Before this, the Indian alliance of the Korean carmaker had started accepting its booking at the down payment of Rs 25,000. According to company sources it has received more than 4,000 bookings so far. Among these 4,000 bookings, 50% of buyers have opted for an automatic transmission system and 50% of buyers for the manual transmission system.

Under the hood, the petrol variant comes equipped with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine boosting the power of 159 hp and the torque of 192 Nm. The diesel variant receives the power from a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates the power of 115 hp and a torque of 250 Nm. The transmission duties in both variants are offered with an option of six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission systems. It is reported that the petrol variant with the manual gear transmission system will deliver an average of 14.5 kmpl, and the automatic transmission will deliver an average of 14.2 kmpl. The diesel variant with the manual transmission system offers an economical average of 20.4 kmpl and the automatic transmission offers an average of 18.1 kmpl.
Inside the cabin, it receives a bunch of amazing features, some of which are offered for the first time in the segment. The list of interior features includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 360-degree camera, lane change camera (displays the rear view in the instrument cluster at the time when you use an indicator to change your lane), in-built middle-row sun shades, ISOFIX child seat mounts, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging system, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control and a few more.
On the exterior front, it looks identical to Creta with minor changes to make it look different from its elder sibling. Some of these features include a new front grille, rear quarter glass, upright tailgate, faux dual exhaust system, wraparound tail-lights, 18-inch alloy wheels and more.
As far as its competitors are concerned it will compete against the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV500, and Tata Safari.
