Hyundai Launches Its Electric Car Ioniq 6 Against Tesla 3

To break the dominance of US-based car maker Tesla in the electric cars segment, the South Korean car maker Hyundai Motor Group has launched its first electric sedan Ioniq 6 in the native market. The sedan will go for sale in the Korean and European car markets by the end of this year and by early 2023 respectively. The Ioniq 6 is the first electric vehicle by the company out of the 31 electric vehicles planned by the carmaker till 2030.

According to the company sources, the Ioniq 6 will offer an average of 610 kilometres on a single charge. It receives power from the 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery. According to the sources of the company, the same model of Ioniq 6 was showcased during the Busan International Motor Show. In a statement from Randy Parker, Hyundai’s Senior Vice-Present in North America, the sedan is developed keeping the young and professionals in concern. Speaking about the company’s future place, Heung Soo Kim, the Head of Electric Vehicles, Hyundai Motors said, that the company has no plans for taking the production of the Ioniq 6 out of the country.
 
Speaking about the features offered in the Ioniq 6, it gets “Speed Syn Lighting” which brightens its interior lights as the car accelerates. It captures the mark of 100 km/hr in 5.1 seconds. This however is lesser higher than the accelerating speed captured by Tesla Model 3. Moving ahead it offers you an option of selecting the plethora of interior lighting themes and 64 colour treatments.  The list of other notable features includes a 12-inch infotainment system, multiple USB ports supporting connectivity with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, comfortable seats, and a few more.
