The Korean carmaker Hyundai Motors is mulling over to grace India with a compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and that could be none other than the all-new Hyundai Tucson, this time clad in the symbolic designing of ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ by the company. The New Hyundai Tucson has been sighted testing many times by the car enthusiasts and will also be unveiled by the company at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo.
The launch of this compact crossover is expected in amid next year, while the company will be seen gathering the feedback of the Indian consumers visiting the Auto Expo. Hyundai will price this product aggressively hence it may be priced in the bracket of INR 14 to 16 Lakh. New Hyundai Tucson will be offered in both petrol and diesel versions and will make life tougher for Mahindra XUV 500, Ford Endeavour and Tata Aria.
The Fluidic Hyundai Tucson SUV might share the 2.0L power-train of Hyundai Sonata along with major changes in the exteriors and interiors. The dowdy appearance of predecessor will be restyled with imposing looks providing a macho stance, thanks to the fluidic philosophy of design.
Those who have seen the dud interiors of earlier Tucson will find the new Hyundai Tucson interiors marvelous as it reflects the optimum luxury of premium sedan along with advanced instrument panel, ample boot space and host of unseen features.
Hyundai Motors, which is the second largest carmaker in the country, has never met the desired success in the SUV segment though it had a forgetful launches of earlier Hyundai Terracan and Hyundai Tucson, both of them were discontinued in 2007 and 2010 respectively. But there are some hopes, as the sales chart is moving up by the current offering of the company in the premium SUV segment in the form of Hyundai Santa Fe.
