Hyundai to launch ix25 in July 2015
Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is going to launch its highly speculated compact SUV, ix25 in Indian car market sometimes during the middle of 2015. It is rumored that 2015 is going to be a year for various compact SUV’s t o make their debut in Indian car market and from this point of view launch of Hyundai ix25 seems to be an important step for the Korean car maker. Ix25 has already been launched in Chinese car market with starting price of 119,800 Yuan (INR 11.96 lakh). In Indian car market it is expected to be offered with starting price of Rs. 7.50 lakh. The SUV is developed on company’s Fluidic Sculpture Design 2.0 philosophy.
Under the hood compact SUV would be solved in both petrol and diesel disguises. The petrol is expected to be empowered with 1.4 litre VTVT petrol engine that boosts the power of 106 bhp and torque of 135 NM. It is endorsed to deliver an average of 17 kmpl. The diesel variant would be energized with 1.6 litre CRDi diesel engine boosting the power of 126 bhp and torque of 260Nm, this version of ix25 is claimed to deliver the fuel average of 22 kmpl. After launch ix25 would be in straight competition with Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and Nissan Terrano. The major attractions of Hyundai ix25 would be LED daytime running lights, projector head lamps, alloy wheels, fog lamps, followed by chrome garnished grille of three slats on top end variants.
