Hyundai To Showcase Alcazar SUV In An Event On April 6, 2021

According to recent reports Hyundai Motors India Limited, the Indian arm of Korean carmaker Hyundai is going to reveal its seven-seater SUV Alcazar on April 6, 2021, during an extravagant event in Rajasthan. The company will launch the SUV sometimes in May 2021. The proposed SUV shares the same platform that is used for developing the upcoming version of Creta. It will be offered with an option of six and seven seats and will go against the likes of facelift Mahindra XUV500 and MG Hector Plus.
 
 
Under the hood, it will be empowered with the same 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine as offered in the compact SUV Creta. The transmission duties will be also the same as offered in the Creta consisting of three options – a six-speed manual gear transmission system, six-speed converter automatic transmission system, seven-speed DCT transmission system offered only the petrol variant, and a CVT automatic transmission system.
 
According to images captured by the spies the six-seater version of the SUV will be offered with a dual-tone colour combination followed by individual captain seats available for the second-row passengers. The other features offered inside the cabin will include an armrest, cup holders, ISOFIX child mounts, wireless phone charging, and a few storing spaces for the backside passengers. As far as the seven-seater version of the SUV is concerned it will be equipped with a bench-type seat for the second-row passengers. Other features offered inside the cabin will include a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
 
Industry experts believe that to make the SUV competitive to others in the segment it might be equipped with additional features like an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology, Bluelink connected car technology, a 360-degree camera, and an automatic AC unit. Other features will include a seven-inch instrument cluster, leather upholstery, front ventilated seats, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, vehicle stability management, hill start assist system, six-airbags, a panoramic sunroof, remote engine start-stop system and a few more carried forward from its elder sibling Creta.
