Hyundai Tucson Facelift to Debut in India at 2016 Indian Auto Expo
After receiving an eye - opening response for Creta SUV around the globe especially from Indian car enthusiasts honouring it as the ICOTY 2016, the Korean carmaker Hyundai is now setting up to strengthen its Indian portfolio by unveiling a refreshed version of Tucson SUV in Indian Car Market in the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo starting from February 3, 2016 in Noida. After showcasing the same in Indian Auto Expo it will be launched in the Indian car market sometimes in the first half of this year with a speculated starting price tag of around Rs. 18 lakh.
Unveiled at Geneva Motor Show, the refreshed SUV from carmaker will be positioned below Santa Fe and above Creta in Indian Portfolio. In its third generation the SUV is designed on a new platform, i.e. on the company's Fluidic design theme, that provides larger cabin space and luggage capacity of 513 liters. The above design from Hyundai can be seen in most of the cars in its existing lineup.
Around the globe Tucson SUV is accessible in an extensive variety of trims that includes newly added turbocharged 1.6 liter T-GDI petrol engine mated with six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission boosting the power of 173 bhp and 1.6 liter GDI petrol engine churning the power of 130 bhp. Apart from petrol trim SUV is also available in diesel engine powered by a 1.7 liter, 2.0 liter engine boosting the power of 113 bhp and 183 bhp respectively.
In its new avatar, seven-seater SUV gets more rounded body panels with signature emboss on hexagonal front grille flanked by LED headlamps. Apart from this Tucson it also gets electronic driving aids like an autonomous emergency braking system, rear traffic cross alert, blind spot detection, lane keeping assist system and speed limit information function.
