Hyundai Veloster all set to zoom into Delhi Expo
We are aware that Hyundai will be displaying many premium sedans and concept vehicles at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, but one product that goes unnoticed is the unveiling of Hyundai Veloster, the three-door sports coupe. The vehicle with irresistible looks has an unusual feature of single door on the driver side and another two on the passenger sides, thus it is sure to take the center stage at the Hyundai display hall. The sporty automobile that is developed keeping in mind young-blood of the country comes packed with Hyundai's new BlueLink system, which is the futuristic approach for safety concern. The engine displacement though not huge, but churns out unbelievable power.
It has a perfect distinctive blend of coupe and hatchback that finally comes out as a crossover utility vehicle in a revolutionary form. The front has projector headlamps implanted with daytime running LEDs along with never-seen-before hexagonal shaped grille and incorporated trapezoid fog lamps and the sleek electric-panoramic roof is a heartthrob. At the rear are the rounded tail lamps and bumper with reflectors along with the arresting twin-exhaust pipe in the center of the bumper.

The Hyundai Veloster is powered by a 1.6L GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) petrol engine that is coupled with a 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The displacement may occur ‘small’ to someone, but it is potent enough to yield a peak power of around 138 bhp at 6300 rpm in combination with an approximate peak torque of 123 Nm at 4850 rpm.
The Hyundai Veloster was earlier unveiled at this year’s Detriot Auto Show after which it was launched in South Korea. The sports car is said to be the successor to Hyundai Tiburon, a compact two-door coupe that was in production from 1996 to 2008 by the company.
