Ignis water concept activity revealed by Suzuki Motors
Slated for launch during 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon commencing from January 15, 2016, Japanese car maker Suzuki has unveiled its India bound compact SUV Ignis developed on water activity concept quite before the event. The Water concept developed by car maker is mainly dedicated to car lovers enjoying fishing activity and therefore the unit of Ignis revealed by car maker was showcased with orange colored canoe bounded on the roof of SUV. The same orange color is also offered on ORVMs, front grille, and on the exterior ring of alloy wheels. Moving ahead with an objective to give the SUV a sportier look alloy wheels have been developed with black color treatment followed by matte khaki green metallic color garnished on body. According to company sources same color scheme has been adopted inside the cabin of this proposed SUV.
Ignis is one of an important car that would be launched in Indian car market in 2016 after unveiling during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2016. The concept of car was showcased for first time during 44th Tokyo Motor Show. Physically Ignis has length of 3,700mm, width of 1,660 mm and height of 1,595 mm followed by wheelbase of 2,438mm. After launch Ignis will compete against recently launched Renault Kwid and proposed mini SUV KUV100 from domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra.
Prior to this Japanese car maker had showcased the rough unit of Ignis codenamned as "Ignis Trail" during the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The unit of Ignis showcased at that time was first generation Ignis which was offered with big tyres, muscular wheel arches with 4x4 look out. The unit carried red graphic line drawn on fog lamp carvings, headlamp and front grille.
