Image of India bound Renault Kaptur revealed by Renault
With increasing trend of cross over across the world every car maker is shifting towards this segment and making his debut with well equipped crossover. The new name to mark its presence in this segment is Renault which is soon going to unveil its crossover Kaptur soon in Russian car market. Recently the Russian alliance of French car maker has released brindled image of crossover indicating its launch soon in Russia.
Developed on same platform as used in Duster SUV, the Kaptur for Russian car market will be produced at company’s production unit established at Moscow. According to reports apart from unveiling Kaptur crossover in Russia, it will be also showcased during Sao Paulo International Motor Show 2016 to be held in Brazil during the month of November. The European version of Kaptur is known as Captur and is developed on Clio platform. In international market Kaptur will launched with 1.2 litre petrol and 2.0 litre diesel engine options. Whereas India bound version might get 1.6 litre petrol and 1.5 litre dCi diesel engine.
After launch Kaptur will compete against Mahindra XUV500 and upcoming Tata Hexa. According to teaser revealed by car maker Kaptur will embellish features like new bumper, C-shaped LED daytime DRLs, enlarged grille, and large rear gate. Inside the cabin it will embellish spacious cabin to offer comfort seating experience to five adults along with option of making third row by adding two additional seats at rear side.
