India Bound Facelift Jaguar XE To Undergo Major Cosmetic Changes
Going through the increasing competition with the German carmakers, British luxurious car maker Jaguar is going to refresh its products in terms of both the quality and the features. The first vehicle to undergo this major change will be XE sedan, which will be the facelift of its existing version and is believed to make its debut in the International and the Indian car market by the end of this year.
The changes that would be introduced are stagnated to cosmetic changes and not the mechanical changes and will be continued with the existing 2 litre Ingenium petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine is reported to develop the power of 300 PS and the torque of 400Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by eight-speed automatic transmission system. It is endorsed that the sedan will touch the mark of 100 kmph in the span of 5.7 seconds. This combination of power and performance will, however, be not offered in India. The Indian versions are said to develop the power of 250 PS and 180 PS by the petrol and diesel variants respectively.
As far as cosmetic updates are concerned on the exterior front Jaguar 2020 will receive new front fascia, sleek rear profile, set of new alloy wheels, thus giving the sedan a sportier and bolder outlook, than its outgoing version. The fact which is noticeable about the cosmetic updates is that the British carmaker has not restricted them only to the exterior and has equally paid attention towards the interior also. The worth mentioning change inside the cabin is the integration of high-quality material and not the hard plastic.
Well, moving inside the cabin you will notice a plethora of digitalization used for enhancing its overall appearance. The major changes comprise of 12.3 inch instrument cluster, touchscreen climate control, new infotainment system wireless phone charger, and few more. Along with contemporary features, the company has also integrated “ClearSight” rearview camera, that makes it easier for the driver to get an idea about the traffic ahead of him. The use of AI is helpful in understanding the priorities of the driver regarding climate control, the position of their seat, settings of music system etc.
