India Bound Facelift Toyota Vios Debuts in Thailand
Japanese car maker Toyota has launched the facelift version of its luxurious sedan Vios in Thailand with starting price of 609,000 baht and going high to 789,000 baht. The facelift version of Vios launched in Thailand is developed on Toyota’s B platform and outsources most its designing language from the facelift version of Vios launched in Chinese car market. According to reports Japanese car maker is planning to launch the facelift version of Vios also in Indian car market sometimes during the second half of this year.

Mechanically the Vios sports 1.5 litre Dual VVT-I petrol engine that is capable for boosting the maximum power of 108 bhp at 6,000 rpm and torque of 140Nm at 4,200 rpm. The engine is mated with seven speed super CVT-I transmission system. In Indian car market the car maker is speculated to launch the entry level Vios with different engine configurations comprising of both petrol and diesel variants.
On the exterior end the front fascia adorns completely a new look in form of “V” shaped upper front grille along with newly developed projector headlamps with LED DRLs and chrome accents. With this the appearance of front fascia is further enhanced with integration of black garnished hexagonal lower grille integrating LED strip succeeds in giving the front portion a muscular look to the sedan. The side profile remains unchanged except the minute change in form of five spoke alloy wheel, on the rear portion you will find newly developed tail lamps along with chrome garnished boot lid.

Moving inside the cabin you will find dual colored dashboard with leather upholstery offered in the top end variant along with seven inch touchscreen infotainment system. The base level variant adorns black colored interiors supported with three spoke steering wheel with audio mounted control system along with eye catching interiors. On the safety front it will embellish ABS+EBD, brake assist system, dual airbags and VSC stability control system.
