India bound Maruti Suzuki Ciaz aka Suzuki Alivio to be launched in China next month
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz aka Suzuki Alivio in Chinese market was showcased during Beijing Motor Show held in the beginning of this year and now will be again showcased during the upcoming Chengdu Motor Show to be held in August this year. The sources close to auto industry have now reported that the upcoming sedan would be launched in Chinese market in next couple of months. After which it might make its way to Indian car market where it will replace the existing sedan SX4 from Japanese car maker.

In Chinese car market the Suzuki Alivio aka Maruti Suzuki Ciaz would be empowered with 1.6 litre four cylinder petrol engine, and coated with six speed automatic gearbox. However in Indian car market the Ciaz aka Alivio would be launched in both petrol and diesel trims, wherein the petrol variant will be embellished with 1.4 litre petrol engine carried from its elder sibling Ertiga MPV and would be offered in both manual and automatic transmission system. On the other side diesel variant will be blessed with 1.3 litre Multijet engine borrowed from Fiat and would be offered only with manual transmission system.
The major attractions that would be enriched in Suzuki Alivio would be multi functional steering wheel, projector headlamps, automatic air conditioner control and rear ac vents, engine start/stop button and various others. The Indian version of Alivio or Ciaz apart from being decorated with these features will also carry 16 inch multi spoke alloy wheels. In Indian car market it is speculated to be launched with price tag falling between Rs. 7.5 lakh to Rs. 10.5 lakh and would compete against existing leaders in sedan system like Volkswagen Vento, Fiat Fiesta, Hyundai Verna and new Honda City.
