India Bound Skoda Kodiaq Unveiled Globally
Finally after a long time the Kodiaq SUV from Czech car maker Skoda has made its debut in global auto world in an event held in Berlin. The SUV will step in Indian market sometimes during the months of August/September next year. In global market the Kodiaq will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants empowered with 1.4 litre TSI and 2.0 litre TDI engines respectively. As far as transmission system is concerned it will be offered with an option of six speed manual transmission and seven speed DSG transmission system.
The Indian version of Kodiaq will be offered in diesel variant which will comprise of 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine mated with seven speed DSG transmission system. It is also speculated that after launch Czech car maker might offer the petrol version of SUV also. In European car market the SUV will make its debut sometimes during the month of March next year. As far as price of Kodiaq is concerned it is guessed to be offered in the range varying from Rs. 25 to Rs.30 lakh.
Addressing the unveiling event of Kodiaq SUV, Bernhard Maier, CEO and Member of Board, Skoda Auto said, "that auto industry across the world is going through transition period and offers us wide opportunities of exploring our technologies. The new vehicles are developed with enhanced safer and comfortable features. The Skoda Kodiaq further explores those technical developments. According to him, Kodiaq will dominate the segment with extraordinary performance and affordable price range. The SUV not only exhibits the C-design philosophy of Skoda but also illustrates state of the art technologies." Recently the details regarding interiors of Kodiaq were rendered by car maker.
The major attractions inside cabin are Skoda Connect Touchscreen Infotainment system, 360 degree cameras, Google Earth, WiFi, emergency system, electronic tailgate, adaptive cruise control, emergency auto braking based on radar system, optimal Dynamic Chassis control which facilitates the SUV to be driven on varied modes.
