India To Receive Restyled Version Of VW T-Cross SUV

The T-Cross SUV concept showcased by the German carmaker Volkswagen received an overwhelming response at the time it was showcased by the company. The T-Cross SUV is reported to make its debut in the Indian car market sometime during 2020. According to recent updates provided by the company, the Indian version of SUV would be quite different from its version launched in the European car market and will share only a few components from it. This was recently revealed by Mr. Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen India. It is reported that a couple of days back, spies caught the camouflaged version of SUV being tested in Brazil. Like Indian version, the Brazilian version of the proposed SUV looked different from the European edition.

Under the hood, VW T-Cross would be empowered with 1.0 litre TSI engine that boosts the power of 128 bhp and offered with an option of five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission system. In, the Internationa market it is reported to be offered with an option high engine configuration comprising of 1.4 litre TSI engine, generating the power of 150 bhp and mated with only six-speed automatic transmission system.
 
The Indian version is reported to be manufactured locally at the Chakan plant and will be based on MQB-A0 design architecture. It is speculated to be equipped with bunch of remarkable and contemporary features inside the cabin that are not offered by others in the segment.
