Japanese car maker Honda Motors yesterday unveiled Honda Mobilio MPV in the ongoing Indian Auto Expo 2014. The Mobilio MPV is developed on platform of company’s Brio hatchback and is expected to be launched in the second of this year. The new MPV will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants along with option of automatic transmission system.

The petrol  variant will be equipped with 1.5 litre petrol  engine developing the power of 116 bhp and torque of 146t NM.  It is speculated that along with petrol variant company will offer this MPV in diesel variant which will be powered with 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine churning the power of 98 bhp and torque of 200 Nm.  The petrol variant will be offered with an option of five speed manual transmission system and five speed automatic transmission system, whereas the diesel variant will be offered with six speed manual transmission system.

Talking about the exteriors of Mobilio it can be considered that its exteriors are advanced version of Honda Amaze, however the tapering roof and newly designed profile at rear doors makes it different from Amaze. The rear is offered with wrap around tail lamps followed by trapezoid number plat. The top end variant is developed with roof mounted spoiler and reflectors. Moving into the interiors they have been carried from both Amaze sedan and Brio hatchback, which indicates that the interiors of this MPV will receive 2 Din touch screen music system without CD player, followed by moving knobs for controlling air conditioner vents etc.
