The commencement of Auto Expo 2020 is one of the highly awaited events for the car manufacturers to exhibit the creativity of their future concepts among the car enthusiasts across the world. The dates of upcoming Auto Expo 2020 in India have been announced by the organizers, but this time unfortunately there is a flaw. According to the recent reports  the major car manufacturers, namely Honda, Fiat, Jeep, Toyota, Ford and Lexus will not mark their presence during the Auto Expo. Along with this the renowned two wheelers making companies like Royal Enfield, Bajaj, TVS have also opted to stay away from the show.

 

 

It is believed that going through sluggish sales, these auto manufacturers have decided to keep themselves from the event. The decision is however sad, but there is some good new to cherish. The manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Hyundai Motors India Limited, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra have confirmed to participate in the event and showcase their latest concept and electric  vehicles. Similarly, the manufacturers like Skoda, Volkswagen, Renault, Mercedes-Benz and the new entrants like MG Motors and Kia Motors will mark their presence during the event. Along with this the manufacturers like Citroen and Great Wall Motors from China have also confirmed their participation in the event.

 

Speaking about the presentations that would be showcased during the event includes the vehicles manufactured on MQB A0 IN platform by Volkswagen and Skoda for the Indian car market. MG Motors, is speculated  to showcase ZS EV, whereas Kia Motors might introduce something new from its bag. Industry experts believe, that the high cost of participation the Auto Expo is also one of the reasons due to which the bigwigs are moving away from such a mega event. It is reported that the participants have to pay the sum of Rs. 30 crores for setting up their stall, supporting staff from abroad and from the country, and other expenses.
