Indian Version of 2019 MG Hector to Get Dual-Clutch Auto Gearbox
MG Motor (Morris Garages) has planned to enter in Indian car market with the launch of Hector SUV by the second quarter of this year. The company is getting popular with the road shows in the major cities of India and trying to get success. It will use the General Motors manufacturing plant in Halol, Gujarat for manufacturing of its upcoming vehicles. According to the sources, it is rumoured that MG motors will launch Hector SUV in India in petrol version which will transmit the power with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox as well.
MG Hector SUV will be powered by a 2.0L diesel engine which churns out 170bhp power and 350Nm of torque. On the other hand, the company is launching Jeep Compass rival and the second petrol SUV car MG Hector, which will run on a 1.5L engine mated with manual and a dual-clutch automatic transmission system. Apart from the Jeep Compass, MG Hector will compete with Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson in term of looks as well.
This SUV will have enhanced looks and comfort interiors including steering mounted music and phone control features, power adjustable seats, keyless entry with engine push start/stop button, cruise control, tyre pressure monitor screen and a 360-degree view camera. It will be featuring a panoramic sunroof which will have a class of its own. For the entertainment purpose, the Hector SUV will have Harman Infinity music system with four speakers, a subwoofer and 4 tweeters.
There is no final word from the manufacturing company regarding the launch price but it is expected to get launched in between INR 15.0 – 17.0 Lac ex-showroom.
