Interiors Of Mahindra MPV U321 Spied During Test Drive
Codenamed as U321, the interiors of upcoming MPV from domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra have leaked in cyber world. According to industry reports the MPV will replace the Xylo MPV and currently being tested on Indian roads. From the images revealed on different platforms it is seen to get dual tone color treatment, big digital MID unit, dual instrument cluster dials with colored backlit. The other features will include push button start, touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted controls, six speed manual gearbox, and many more. It will be offered with option of six seat and seven seat followed by various utility spaces.

On the exterior front it will continue the same front grille as offered in other vehicles manufactured by the home grown car maker. The other features offered on the exterior front will include projector headlamps. LED tail lamps, alloy wheels etc. The exterior of top end variants will be embellished with DRLs, fog lamps and rear wiper. The new MPV is reported to be developed on SsangYong Tivoli’s monocoque platform that is developed in Troy, Michigan by the North American Technical Centre of M&M. The vehicles developed under this platform and developed by making use of light weight material that is helpful in increasing the fuel efficiency of the vehicle.

Under the hood it is reported to be powered with 1.99 litre diesel engine that is capable of boosting he power of 120 hp and torque of 320Nm. The top end variant is speculated to be offered with 2.2 litre m-Hawk engine that is capable of generating the power of 120 hp and torque of 330Nm. The standard transmission duties in both the engines will be carried out with six speed manual gear transmission box. Some variants are reported to be offered with automatic transmission system along with four wheel drive option.
