ISUZU Motors beings its journey by unveiling D-Max Space Cab in Indian Auto Expo
The international SUV maker Isuzu Motors started its journey at Indian Auto Expo 2014 by unveiling its first multi-utility pick, D-Max Space Cab designed for Indian car market. As far as its price is concerned company has not yet revealed its price. The sources of company said that D Max Space Cab has been especially designed for rural areas.
Speaking on the event of D Max Space Cab’s unveil Mr. Toru Kishimoto, Vice President, Vehicle Sales Sivision, Sales Planning Division said that at present company intends to concentration on production of SUVs and pick-ups. According to Mr. Kishimoto, although Indian car market is witnessing decline in sales but still there is regular demand of SUVs and pick-up’s due to which company wants to mainly focus on this segment.
The Isuzu D-Max cab is empowered by 2.5 litre diesel engine churning the power of 160.7 bhp and torque of 360 Nm at rpm between 1800 and 2800. Prior to this unveil the D Max Cab has marked its presence in participating various rallies including Australasian Safari Rally, Asia Cross Country Rally and various other competition. With price tag of Rs. 22.3 lakh the cab will be offered with option of five speed manual transmission system or four speed automatic transmission system.
