Jaguar F-Type to be launched in India on July 8
Jaguar F-Type supercar will be launched in India on 8th July, 2013. Jaguar India, the 100 owned subsidiary of Indian firm Tata Motors has noticed via facebook that its new sportscar will officially be launched next month. The new launching F-Type is the successor of the Jaguar E-Type sportscars in terms of features and performance. In Indian domestic market the new sportscar F-Type will be made available in two trims like V6 S and V8 S.

The V6 S trim has a 3.0L V6 supercharged engine under the hood that churns out max power of 380PS at 6500 rpm along with peak torque of 460Nm at 3500rpm. The oil burner is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission system. Acceleration of the V6 S is 0-100kmph in 4.9 seconds while the top speed is 275kmph.

Meanwhile, the high-end V8 S trim of the F-Type is loaded with a 5.0L supercharged V8 powertrain that makes top power of 490PS at 6500rpm along with peak torque of 625Nm at 2500rpm. To catch the speed of up to 100kmph it takes only 4.3 seconds. The beast has top speed of 300kmph. Price of the F-Type in Indian auto market could start from Rs 1.5 crores. In terms of power and performance, the new Jaguar Sportscar by British auto major will be a competitor of Porsche Boxster, Porsche 911 and recently launched Porsche Cayman S in international and Indian domestic market.
