The F-Type takes the entire experience of the sports car offered by the Jaguar, a step further as it is the perfect blend of aesthetic sense and original form. According to the reports, round about 43 cars were competing for the title of the World Car Design of the Year. The advisory panel stated that there are plenty of reasons that make the F-Type car truly deserving contender for grabbing the title. Those reasons include short overhangs, flared fenders, long wheelbase, etc. The contour in plain view that is tapered toward the door, give an impression of the muscular rear fender that equips the driven wheels. The horizontal proportion along with rounded surfaces, further pave the way for this car to create an outstanding impression. The interior design is yet another dominant factor that has let this car won this title. The interior design is apparently driver-oriented. The grip bar meant for the passenger is integrated into the big centre console, in an intelligent manner. The design of the seat is, simply brilliant.
The award was received by Adrian Hallmark (Global Brand Director, Jaguar) at the New York International Auto Show. While receiving the award, he didn’t forget to speak few words about the F-Type, by calling it an exceptional blend of progressive technology and brilliant architecture.
