Jaguar-Land Rover To Launch iPace Electric SUV In India
Owned by the domestic carmaker Tata Motors, the British luxurious car maker Jaguar-Land Rover are going to launch their first electric SUV christened as iPace in the Indian car market sometime during the next year. Prior to this the carmakers will start launching the hybrid version of the cars and SUV being sold by them in the Indian car market by the end of this year. According to the industry reports the proposed electric SUV iPace will be the electric version of the F Pace sedan being sold by the carmaker in the Indian car market. It will be equipped with a plethora of remarkable features and will be brought in India through a completely built unit (CBU). The SUV is designed to offer a high driving experience to the buyers and make them realize the real definition of a well-developed SUV.

Under the hood, the iPace will be empowered with dual electric motors that will generate the power of 400 PS and the torque of 696 Nm. The all-wheel drive SUV will be mated with an automatic transmission system and empowered with 90 KwH lithium-ion battery that offers an average of 400 kilometers drive after it is charged fully. The battery is also embellished with the feature of quick charging and capable of charging 80% in the span of 45 minutes. The SUV can touch the mark of 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds followed by the top speed of 200 kmph.

The design of iPace is developed by Ian Callum, the renowned auto designer. Developed on the same platform as used for developing the F Pace sedan, and therefore can be regarded as its sportier version. It would be interesting to know that the SUV will not be developed in England but in Austria by Magna Steyr, the car manufacturing specialist.
