Jaguar Land Rover to unleash an array of fuel-efficient sports cars
At a time when the fuel prices are touching new high, Jaguar Land Rover would bring fuel efficient sports cars in the market. With the huge success of Land Rover Freelander, Land Rover Discovery and the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, the car lovers can expect that in the next two years the company would launch a number of fuel efficient sports cars in the country. Earlier too, Jaguar Land Rover had made it clear that it would launch around 40 new cars in the next five years. But it is yet to be decided that what model will be launched when.
Jaguar Land Rover, which is Tata Motor’s subsidiary, is aiming to capture larger share in the sports car market as it is aggressively trying to woo the customers by giving them more options of fuel efficient engines which produce higher power. Jaguar Land Rover is producing powerful engine which consume less fuel. It has also been mentioned in Tata Motor’s Annual Report 2011-12 that the company is launching new cars with fuel efficient engines. The new models would add more cars in the list of Tata Motors and would give a wider range of products to the customers. Among the cars that would be produced in the next two years would include sports sedan and sports cars. It would be developed under development program.
The car lover can expect Range Rover to hit the road again with facelifted version and there is possibility of lifestyle vehicles to hit the showrooms soon. Besides, the auto industry sources said that the company has decided to offer the cars within competitive prices. In an effort to increase the manufacturing of the car, Jaguar land Rover is planning to construct factory in China as the demand of luxury cars has increased in the area. The company claimed that sales of Jaguar Land Rover have increased by 37 percent and also the profit clocked at 1,481 million pounds in financial year 2011-12.
