Japanese car makers on the path of resurrection
Auto makers from Japan are on verge to bounce back in the quarterly profits. The Japanese car makers who suffered excessively last year due to the untoward double whammy of earthquake and Tsunami followed by floods in Thailand are showing signs of recovery. On the other hand auto majors from South Korea Hyundai Motors and Kia Motors are also likely to register strong sales in the first quarter of 2012. This would be interesting to see as the Japanese counterparts are also expected to resurrect in the coming time on the back of better overseas sales.

Other auto makers from Japan, Toyota and Honda too saw disappointing sales in 2011, due to the constraint in the supply chain because of the powerful earthquake and Tsunami that hit eastern Japan coupled with dip in yen followed by the unfavourable floods in Thailand. Nissan on the contrary sheen as the number 2 auto maker of Japan, the company emerged a winner and recovered fast. The accrued January-March quarter sales for the top 3 auto honchos of Japan is anticipated to ramp up, however Nissan still is in a better position in comparison to Toyota and Honda.

Auto makers will announce the final figures for the first quarter of this year within a few weeks. Indian’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India is also likely to post positive sales for the first time in the last three quarter after a bad financial year due to the continuous labour strikes leading to loss in production. However Tata continues to post strong sales due to the upward trend of its British subsidiary Jaguar and Land Rover sales. Maruti launched the trimmed down Maruti Swift Dzire sedan in February which is selling in god numbers. The company recently joined Maruti Ertiga compact MPV which is expected to do well too.
