Jeep To Launch New SUV On March 15, 2021
The US-based carmaker Jeep is all set to launch its new SUV in the Indian car market on March 15, 2021. The company has not disclosed any details about the upcoming SUV except releasing its teaser image recently exhibiting the front grille with the company’s logo mounted on it. The new SUV is reported to bring in India through Completely-Knocked-Down (CKD) route and assembled at the Jeep’s production unit located at Ranjangaon. It would be interesting to know that the company will invest $250 for expanding its production activities in India.

Although the company has not yet revealed any information about the name and the features of the upcoming SUV, it is believed to be the refreshed version of Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. It is expected to be empowered with the existing 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that churns the power of 268 bhp and the torque of 400Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by an eight-speed automatic gearbox and offered with all-wheel drive feature. It will run on the new 17-inch gloss black alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, it will be equipped with the new infotainment system that supports connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Along with this, it will continue the features like a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls, dual-zone climate control, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system.
Speaking about the safety features, it is speculated to be continued with four airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, electronic stability control, hill descent control system, hill-start assist system, rear camera, anti-lock braking system, electronic roll mitigation, front and rear parking sensors, and many more.
