Jeep to Unveil India Bound C-SUV During This Month
After making its successful debut in Indian car market U.S car maker Jeep has started making its preparation for unveiling its new product in global market. The proposed product has been codenamed as C-SUV and is ready for unveil by the end of this month after which it will be launched in car market of Central America and China during the second week of October this year. In Indian car market the C-SUV is scheduled for launch in 2017 and will be manufactured at Fiat’s production unit at Ranjangaon in Pune. According to reports the C in name refers to compact, which means that it will be a compact SUV.

As far as engine configuration of Jeep C-SUV for Indian car market is concerned nothing has been so far revealed by the car maker. But in Brazilian car market, where the vehicle will make its first debut it will be empowered with 2.0 litre flex fuel engine and 2.0 litre Multijet diesel engine. It is believed that C-SUV will be the cheapest product by car maker launched in India, as recently Jeep had launched Grand Cherokee and Wrangler Unlimited in India with prices starting from Rs. 71.59 lakh .

Reports reveal that for manufacturing the version of C-SUV in India the car maker has invested $280 million for exploring its production activities at its Ranjangaon unit. The front fascia will have logo of Jeep engraved on it and will be exported to various other countries. It is also speculated that it will be offered in 4WD version along with regular version. Once launched in Brazil, the SUV will be showcased at the Sao Paulo Auto Show to be held in November 2016.
