It is rumored that spies have caught the generation next Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with three door and five door configurations in India. It is believed that both the SUV’s have been brought for homologation, as the three door Wrangler is speculated to make its Indian debut soon. At present the U.S. based car maker is only selling Wrangler Unlimited in the Indian car market, which is being brought through completely build unit route (CBU) route. It is believed that the new version of Wrangler Unlimited might be launched bythe end of this year or during the beginning of the next year.

 

 

Under the bonnet, the next generation Jeep Wrangler would be offered with three engine options of 2.2 litre, 4 cylinder, turbocharged petrol that will be enriched with mild-hybrid technology. The second engine configuration would be 3.6 litre V6 naturally aspirated Pentastar engine, that would be offered in the top end variant of petrol variant. The third and last engine configuration will include 3.0 litre diesel engine, that is also offered in the Grand Cherokee, offered in the Indian car market. In its new avatar the Wrangler will be mated with eight speed automatic gearbox and no manual gear transmission system.

 

The new Jeep Wranlger is developed on a new platform that is not only light weighted, but also large and capable of combat with off-road driving conditions. the cosmetic changes that are offered will include newly developed front grille, LED headlamps and LED DRLs followed by new front bumper. Along with this the new Wrangler will also be embellished with pair of new taillamps. Inside, the cabin it will be embellished with new cabin followed by refreshed dashboard, 8.4 inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control system, push button start, passive keyless entry and many more. 

 

 

 The new versions of Wranger were displayed during the Log Angeles Auto Show held last year during the month of November and launched during the Geneva Motor Show held earlier this year.
