Kia Emerges As The Rising Star In The Indian Car Market
Leaving most of the key-players like Honda Motors, Tata Motors, Ford, Renault, Toyota and Volksagen behind in the race, the latest debutante in the Indian car market, the Kia Motors of South Korea has emerged as the fourth car manufacturing company in India. The Korean company made its entrance into India back in August this year and within the four months of its existence the company has managed to double its sales.
With some outstanding features Kia Seltos is regarded as the best vehicle to be developed strictly according to the concept of vehicles coming in future. Enriched with UVO connect technology with 37 smart features. It is offered in two variants including Tech Line and GT Line with three engine options ad 4 transmission options. The BS6 compliant engine options with two petrol and one diesel engine options. The petrol engine options 1.5 liter petrol and 1.4 liter turbo petrol engine boosting the power of 115 PS and 140 PS respectively. The former is mated with an option of 6MT and 6 CVT whereas the later is offered with transmission option of 7DCT and 6MT. The third engine option includes the diesel engine of 1.5 liter, boosting the power of 115PS and mated with 6MT and 6AT transmission modes.

Some of the notable features offered in the Kia Seltos are 10.25 touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated seats, 8 ways electronically adjustable driver seat, eight inches HUD, wireless charging and ambient lighting. Along with this, it is also equipped with a bunch of safety featurs including hill hold assist system, blind view monitor and tyre pressure monitor, vehicle stability management system, and also the side and curtain airbags.
The Korean company has its production unit located in Penukonda, Anantapura in Andhra Pradesh. The price varies from Rs. 9.69 lakh to Rs. 17.99 lakh and competes with Nissan Kicks, Renault Capture, Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross.
