Kia Sonet Curtain To Raise On September 18, 2020
The Korean carmaker Kia Motors Corporation is all set to launch its second product, the highly-awaited compact SUV Sonet in the Indian car market on September 18, 2020. The Kia Motors India has also initiated the bookings of the Sonet at the down payment of Rs. 25,000. The prospective buyers can boo their Sonet through the Kia dealers located in the entire country. According to the sources of the company, it has received more than 6,500 bookings within 24 hours, after it started receiving the bookings. Encouraged by the response received from the customers, the dealers believe that the buyers will have to wait for three to six months before driving Sonet to their home.
Under the hood, Kia Sonet will be offered in both the petrol and diesel variants with three engine options consisting of a Smartstream 1.2-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine, a 1.0 T-GDI petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine. As far as the transmission duties are considered there will be options for the buyers to select from. This will include a five-speed manual gear transmission system, six-speed manual gear transmission system, an intuitive seven-speed DCT, six-speed automatic, and a six-speed Smartstream intelligent manual transmission system. The trims with automatic transmission system are offered with features like Multi-Drive and Traction modes, driver-confidence, and a few safety measures.
Inside the cabin it receives a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen and navigation system with UVO Connected Technologies, steering wheel-mounted controls. The safety features include six-airbags to protect the passengers from the front, side, and middle. On the exterior front it receives and aggressive and bold look, consisting of iconic ‘tiger-nose’ grille, three-dimensional ‘stepwell’ and a few more. The LED headlamps remind the Wild by Design, theme, that is believed to give a strong presence to Sonet on road.
