Kia SP: The India Bound SUV To Be Unveiled On June 20, 2019
Kia Motors the subsidiary of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is going to make its debut in the Indian car market on June 20, 2019. According to recent reports the luxury car maker will unveil its first SUV SP (expected to be christened as Trailster) in India and launch the same sometime during the festival season. The concept version of the SUV was showcased by the company during the Indian Auto Expo 2018, where it succeeded in impressing the audiences of all the segments.

On the basis of the images surfaced online the production version of the SUV looks identical to Kia SP Signature concept that was showcased during the Seoul Motor Show 2019. While making the comparison between both the Kia SP and Kia SP Signature Concept it is seen that the later is embellished with small and eye catching ORVMs, 19 inch alloy wheels and many more. Under the hood, it is believed to be offered with engine options of 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines and mated with the options of both the manual and automatic gear transmission system. It is believed that both the engine would BS-VI compliant, however at the time of launch company might launch the BS-IV compliant engines. It is speculated that with an objective to offer the extra option, the company might also introduce its sportier version empowered with 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine, mated with seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.
Talking about the interior features, it is believed that going through the increasing competition in the segment company might equip the SP SUV with some remarkable features that would be offered for the first time in the segment. It is believed to be equipped with 360 degree camera, large touchscreen infotainment system, WiFi connectivity, wireless charging and many more. The top end trim might receive the feature digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting system and many more.

On the exterior front, apart from the above mentioned features it will receive aggressive LED lights, slim LED fog lamps, contrast roof, roof rails, D-pillar, pull styled door handles and many more. As far as the price is concerned it is expected to be offered in the price range of Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 16 lakh and will go against the likes of Renault Capture, Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, upcoming MG Hector and Nissan Kicks.
