Kodiak would be the name of new SUV from Skoda

It is reported that Czech car maker Skoda is going to bring a new SUV which will be showcased during the Paris Motor Show 2016 scheduled to be held in October next year and will be placed above the Yeti SUV.  The SUV has been in limelight from quite some time and has been rumored to be named as Skoda Polar or Skoda Snowman. But now denying all erstwhile rumors and anticipation car maker has announced that the name of this seven seater SUV would be Kodiak and will be developed on MQB platform carried from Volkswagen. In the beginning SUV would be offered with front wheel drive system after which in later months it will be available with four wheel drive system on demand from buyers.

According to reports the Kodiak would be energized with petrol and diesel engines comprising of 2.0 litre TDI and 1.8 litre TSI carried from premium sedan Octavia and Superb respectively. The engines would be mated with six speed manual gear transmission system followed by seven-speed DSG transmission system. With this the SUV would be embellished with various contemporary features like start-stop button cylinder deactivation offered in petrol trims, and energy recovery system.
 
The design of this SUV would be similar to its siblings carrying C concept featuring intense shrinks throughout the body followed by angular design. As the SUV is reported to be placed above Yeti it is expected to carry more aggressive and mature looks than compared to Yeti. Once showcased during the Paris Motor Show 2016 the SUV will go for sale in European car market by the end of next year the SUV would be launched in Indian car market sometimes during the second half of 2017.
