Launch of Maruti Suzuki Ignis might postpone for 2017

If there is any reality in rumors emerging around regarding the launch of Maruti Suzuki Ignis sometimes during the upcoming festive season, then this news might be disappointing for the aspirants Ignis who are keenly waiting for its launch. It is grapevine that country’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki Ignis may postpone the launch its launch for next year. It is reported that going through the encouraging response of buyers for Vitara Brezza and Baleno, the Indo-Japanese car maker is willing to roll out their pending orders before the launch of Ignis.

According to sources of company it has received more than 1 lakh bookings for both Vitara Brezza and Baleno hatchback. Till date company has to deliver around 40,000 units of Vitara Brezza and 25,000 units of Baleno to their customers in waiting.

On the other side compact crossover Ignis as reported earlier was slated for launch during the festive season and preparations for its launch were also going at jet dynamic speed. Moreover as the prototype of same were caught under lenses on several occasions its launch during festive season was almost confirmed. Maruti Suzuki Ignis is reported to be offered in both petrol and diesel variants empowered with 1.2 litre VTVT and 1.3 litre MultiJet engine configurations respectively. It is also reported that along with five speed manual gearbox, it will also be offered in AMT transmission system in both variants
