It was almost two months back in the month of March when Lexus, the luxurious division of Japanese car maker Toyota Motors stepped in Indian car market with three of its remarkable vehicles ES 300h, RX 450h and LX 450d. At the time of their launch the car maker had announced the prices of ES 300h and RX 450h and kept the price of LX 450d SUV on hold. Now after mere silence of few weeks the car maker has disclosed the price of luxurious SUV LX 450d for Indian car market. According to reports received from authentic sources the SUV will be sold with the price tag of Rs. 2.32 Crore (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The bookings of vehicle have already been initiated by the car maker.

 

 

Mechanically the Indian version of LX 450d adorns 4.5 litre V8 diesel engine that generates the power of 261 bhp and thre torque of 650NM. The transmission duty is performed by six speed automatic transmission system and is offered with all wheel drive option as standard feature. With top notch of 210 kmph the SUV is capable of sprinting the speed from 0 to 100 kmph in the span of 8.1 seconds.

 

 

Talking about the features that would  be offered in Lexus LX 450d, interestingly the SUV carries most of its cues from Toyota Land Cruiser 200 and is developed on same ladder on frame chassis platform, however as far as looks of concerned both the SUV’s look quite different. The LX 450d looks more stylish and luxurious and this can be witnessed from the front grille that enhances its overall appearance, along with this integration of LED headlamps, wheel arches further add a spicier look to the exterior. Inside the cabin it sports dual colored interior theme, 19 speaker Mark Levinson audio system, automatic climate control, wireless charging system, rear entertainment screens for rear passengers, multiple driving modes and many more.
