Lexus Make its Grand Debut in Indian Car Market
Finally making its word of debuting true in Indian car market during the month of March 2017, Lexus the luxurious division of Japanese car maker Toyota has made its entry in Indian car market with its three established products ES 300h, RX 450h and LX 450d. The luxurious sedan ES 300h has been offered with price tag of Rs. 55.27 lakh, the hybrid SUV RX 450h has been offered in two trims RX 450h Luxury and RX FSport with the price tag of Rs. 1.07 Crore and 1.09 Crore (ex-showroom price, New Delhi), while the price of SUV LX 450d will announced later by the Japanese car maker.
To begin with Lexus ES 300h, which is one of the most economical cars offered by the car maker, is empowred with 2.5 litre petrol engine along with hybrid motor. The petrol engine alone generates the power of 160PS and torque of 233Nm, while the hybrid motor churns the power of 143 Ps and torque of 270Nm. The transmission duty is performed by CVT transmission system. The sedan sprints the speed of 100 kmph from standstill in the span of 8.5 seconds.
Lexus RX 450h is empowered with 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine along with hybrid motor. This engine configuration is capable of generating the power of 308 hp and mated with e-CVT gearbox. It has been offered in two trims namely luxury and RS FSport. In Indian car market it will compete against BMW X3 and AudiQ5.
Finally the last but not the least LX 450d, the giant SUV from Japanese car maker receives power from turbocharged 4.5 litre engine that churns the power of 265 PS and torque of 650Nm. The transmission duty will be performed by six speed automatic transmission system and will be offered with four wheel drive option.
