M2 Competition And M5 Competition In The Pipeline of BMW For India
It seems that this year is going to be extremely hectic for the German luxurious car maker BMW. After the successful launch of 6 Series Gran Turismo, new X3, M5 and upgraded versions of M3 and M4, the car maker is speculating to launch, the launch new M2 Competition and M5 Competition sometimes during this year in the Indian car market.
Talking about M2 Competition, it is considered as an advanced version of 2 Series coupe that will be empowered with twin-turbocharged 3.0 litre six-cylinder engine that is capable for generating the power of 410 hp and the torque of 550Nm. The transmission duties are performed by six-speed manual gear transmission system followed by an option of seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. The engine offered in M2 Competition is similar to refreshed M3 and M4. The M2 competition is endorsed to touch the mark of 100 kmph in the span of 4.4 seconds by the manual gear transmission system and in the gap of 4.2 seconds by dual clutch model. It could be driven with the top speed of 250 kmph and by the configuration of Driver’s package the speed could be raised up to 280 kmph.
Moving towards M5 Competition it is reported to be empowered with 4.4 litre turbocharged V8 engine that will generate the power of 625 hp and touch the speed of 100 kmph from the still position in the gap of 3.3 seconds. It is speculated that the M2 Competition would be offered with the price tag varying between Rs. 80 Lakh and Rs. 85 Lakh (ex-showroom price) whereas M5 will be offered with the price tag of Rs. 1.5 crore (ex-showroom price) and above.
