“Made In India” Electric Bike Makes A World Record
According to reports, an electric vehicle making startup company Gravton Motors from Hyderabad created history by manufacturing an electric bike that ran from 4011 km on a single charge. In a statement issued by the company, the electric bike travelled from Kanyakumari to Khardung La (Ladakh) in less than seven days. With this, the bike made its name registered in the Asia Book of Records.

What makes this electric bike an inspiration, a challenge for electric car manufacturers is the distance it covered. It is reported that it travelled a distance of 4011 km without a single charge. The team started its ride on September 13, 2021, and finished the journey on September 20, 2021. Speaking about the performance of the bike, the sources of the company said that it works on swappable battery technology. The use of this technology eliminates the need of charging the battery and allows for replacing the discharged battery with the new battery.
Speaking about the features the bike receives power from a 3KW motor that generates a torque of 172Nm. There are three riding modes namely City, Sports and Eco. By integrating the dual battery system, it can ride up to the range of 320 km.
