Mahindra car prices increased by up to 0.5 percent
Mahindra & Mahindra, the country's leading utility vehicle maker firm has announced price increase across its model range (excepting Mahindra XUV 500 and Rexton) by up to 0.5 Per cent. As per company's announcement Mahindra car prices have been hiked by Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000, depending on the model and increased prices are now effective.

The domestic auto giant reported that to protect margin from rising input costs, arising from the falling value of rupee, prices for Mahindra vehicles have been hiked. It also is announced that there is no price hike for premium SUV- XUV 500 and luxury SUV- Rexton.
Along with price hike the company has also announced the sales figures for the month of June this year with a decline of 7.8 per cent. The company sold 38,092 units in June 2013 as against the total sales of 41,322 units in the same month of year 2012. Sales of Mahindra's passenger vehicles including UVs and Verito sedan stood at sold 17,232 units last month as against 19,792 units in same month of previous year.

Domestic sales of the company stood at 36,207 units last month against 38,951 units in June 2012. Exports of the company declined by 20 per cent to 1,885 units from 2,371 units in June last year.
