Mahindra Delivers First BS-VI Alturas G4 To The President Of India
Domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra delivered the first unit of BS-VI Alturas G4 SUV to the Honourable Prime Minister of India. The keys of the SUV were handed over to the Joint Secretary of the President at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. As far as the news regarding the customization of the unit delivered to the President is concerned nothing has been so far revealed by the carmaker. However, the company had launched the upgraded version of the SUV in the Indian car market earlier this year with some new updates. The unit of the Alturas delivered to the President in garnished with black paint.

The information regarding this was shared on Twitter and later on also endorsed by Mr. Parthasarthy, President, Mobility Services, Mahindra Group . The Mahindra Alturas G4 is empowered with a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that generates the power of 178 bhp @4,000 rpm and the torque of 1,600 at 2,600 rpm. It is available in two variants Alturas G4 4x2 AT, and Alturas G4 4x4 AT. The price for Alturas G4 2WD is Rs. 28.73 lakh and Alturas G4 4WD is Rs. 31.70 lakh (both the prices are ex-showroom price, New Delhi).
Speaking about the engagement of Alturas G4 in the fleet of official vehicles used by the President of India is concerned nothing has been so revealed by any of the sources. At present, the President travels in the Mercedes-Benz S Class (S600) Pullman Guard. The Mahindra Alturas G4 is the Indian version of SsangYong Rexton that launched in the Indian car market back in 2018.
It is embellished with the features like nine airbags, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android, seven-inch colored TFT instrument cluster, EPB, ESC, HAS, TC, electric tailgate, and a few more.
